Hesung Innovation Corp, doing business as DREO, is recalling about 338,800 DREO DR-HSH015 ceramic space heaters sold in the US, plus about 36,300 sold in Canada. The heaters can overheat and ignite, posing fire and burn hazards. The recall was announced October 29, 2026, and is nationwide. With cold weather here, it is worth checking any heater in your home to protect your household and your wallet.
What's Being Recalled?
The recall covers DREO ceramic electric space heaters, model DR-HSH015, which come with a remote control. DREO also markets this model as the Whole-Room Heater 715. The heaters are black and about 11.5 inches wide by 13 inches tall, with "DREO" on the front. Only units manufactured from April 2025 through January 2026 are included. The model number and manufacture date (YYYY/MM) are on a label on the underside. They were sold at Costco stores nationwide and online at Dreo.com, BestBuy.com, Kohls.com, Lowes.com, QVC.com, HomeDepot.com, B2BRenew.com and Costco.com from September 2025 through October 2026 for between $70 and $110. Other DR-HSH015 units, other DREO heater models and other DREO products are not affected.
Why Was This Product Recalled?
The heaters can overheat and ignite. DREO has received 17 reports of heaters igniting. Three resulted in property damage and one caused a burn injury to the hand. CPSC reports no deaths.
What Should You Do?
Stop using the heater immediately and check the label on its underside for model DR-HSH015 and a date code from 2025/04 through 2026/01. If it is included, unplug it and destroy it by cutting the electrical cord. Then follow the recall instructions to send a photo of the destroyed heater to receive a free replacement heater.
